1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Argus website at argussec.io, the Argus Cloud platform at app.argussec.io, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SecDevOps Innovations SRL ("we", "us", "our", or the "Company"), a company registered in Romania, European Union.
2. Service Description
Argus provides Google Workspace security auditing capabilities through two offerings:
- Argus Open Source — A free, open-source command-line interface (CLI) tool that performs security audits of your Google Workspace tenant against multiple compliance frameworks including CIS, CISA SCuBA, Google best practices, and others.
- Argus Cloud — A cloud-hosted platform available at app.argussec.io that provides automated scanning, trend tracking, team collaboration, alerting, and AI-powered analysis on top of the open-source auditing engine.
3. Account Terms
To use Argus Cloud, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to the following:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at contact@argussec.io if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Open Source License
The Argus CLI tool is open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Your use of the open-source tool is governed by the terms of the AGPL-3.0 license.
The full text of the license is available in the LICENSE file in the GitHub repository. In the event of any conflict between these Terms of Service and the AGPL-3.0 license with respect to the open-source CLI tool, the AGPL-3.0 license shall prevail.
5. Cloud Service Terms
Argus Cloud is a subscription-based service. The following terms apply:
- Argus Cloud requires an active subscription at EUR 15 per month per Google Workspace being audited.
- New accounts are eligible for a 14-day free trial period during which you may use all Argus Cloud features without charge.
- At the end of the free trial, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using Argus Cloud.
- We reserve the right to modify features and functionality of the cloud platform at any time.
6. Payment Terms
The following payment terms apply to Argus Cloud subscriptions:
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select.
- All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- Payment processing is handled securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at contact@argussec.io for refund requests.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use the Service to audit Google Workspace tenants for which you do not have proper authorization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any proprietary components of the Argus Cloud platform (the open-source CLI tool is exempt from this restriction under the AGPL-3.0 license).
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to Argus Cloud without our prior written consent.
8. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights for the Argus project are divided as follows:
- Open Source Engine — The Argus auditing engine and CLI tool are licensed under the AGPL-3.0 license. You may use, modify, and distribute the open-source code in accordance with that license.
- Cloud Platform — The Argus Cloud platform (app.argussec.io), including its user interface, proprietary features, infrastructure, and associated code, is the exclusive property of SecDevOps Innovations SRL and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- Trademarks — The Argus name, Argus logo, and argussec.io are trademarks of SecDevOps Innovations SRL. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission, except as permitted for nominative fair use.
9. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
When you use Argus Cloud, we process Google Workspace configuration data solely as needed to provide the security auditing service. We do not access, store, or process the contents of your emails, documents, or other user-generated content within your Google Workspace tenant.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that security audits will detect all potential vulnerabilities or misconfigurations in your Google Workspace tenant.
- In no event shall SecDevOps Innovations SRL be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
- You may cancel your Argus Cloud subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at contact@argussec.io.
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users.
- Upon termination, your audit data will remain available for export for thirty (30) days. After this period, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Termination does not affect your rights to use the open-source CLI tool under the AGPL-3.0 license.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we will notify you via email or through a prominent notice on our website.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
